GIANT Recruitment is a specialist recruitment business focused on supporting industrial and commercial Mechanical & Electrical projects with the right people, in the right roles, at the right time.

We work exclusively within the M&E space, supplying engineers, supervisors, and operational and commercial management teams to contractors delivering complex, delivery‑critical projects. From large‑scale installations and automation systems through to general M&E project delivery, our recruitment is grounded in a genuine understanding of how sites operate and what high‑performing teams look like.

What We're About.

GIANT Recruitment was founded by professionals with over 30 years of combined experience recruiting within the M&E contracting and engineering sectors. This includes working alongside global system integrators such as TGW, Dematic, Knapp and Vanderlande supporting high‑profile projects for end clients including Amazon, Aldi, JLR, HelloFresh and Ocado.

That recruitment experience is strengthened by real trade and site backgrounds. Our team includes over six years of hands‑on site experience as a Pipefitter, bringing first‑hand knowledge of live construction environments, installation pressures, safety expectations, and programme demands. This blend of recruitment expertise and practical site understanding ensures decisions are made with delivery firmly in mind.

Meet The Team

Patrick Jones

I bring nearly 20 years of specialist recruitment experience within the Mechanical & Electrical contracting space, supporting the delivery of advanced automation and material-handling systems. I’ve worked closely with global system integrators including TGW, Dematic, Knapp, Vanderlande, Interroll and Invar, supplying installation teams and structured staffing solutions across M&E projects in the industrial and commercial sectors. My career has covered high-profile, delivery-critical sites for clients such as Amazon, Aldi, JLR, HelloFresh and Ocado, where safety, pace and precision are non-negotiable. From conveyor systems and AMR robotics through to large-scale electrical and mechanical installations, I understand what’s required to resource complex, live environments, and how quickly things can unravel if the wrong people are put on site.

 

GIANT Recruitment was set up to do one thing well: support M&E contracting businesses with reliable, compliant and genuinely capable engineering resource. I focus on quality over volume, taking the time to understand both the technical detail of a project and the commercial pressures behind it. Tommy Tainton

Director – GIANT Recruitment

Born and raised in Nottingham, I came into recruitment after spending over seven years on the tools as a self-employed Mechanical Pipefitter. I’ve done the early starts, the site graft, and felt the pressure of getting jobs over the line, so I know exactly what’s expected from both sides. I’m not just someone sat behind a screen throwing CVs around and hoping something sticks. That hands-on experience is what everything I do is built on. I don’t just match CVs to job specs, I understand who can actually do the job, fit into a team, and get stuck in when it matters. I now work with M&E companies across the UK, helping them bring in the right people and keep projects moving properly.

I like to keep things straightforward: no nonsense, easy to deal with, and always on the end of the phone when needed. Outside of work, I’m a big fan of a laugh, a few beers, and getting out with mates. I’m pretty easy-going, a bit cheeky at times, but I get the job done, and that’s exactly how I run my business too.
